Our April's meeting was both a lot of fun as well as a lot of planning. May 15th is coming! Nevertheless, as always, we had plethora of excellent models.
Good times in a good company. Nice set of completed and 'in-work' models, plus 2 bonus features:
a) Jon gave presentation on making life-like seascapes for our miniature combat fleets.
b) Jeff did a class on IPMS judging.
We had a very good meeting with a solid turnout despite continuing reign of Covid. Some wonderful models appeared on the 'show and tell' table as well as Bill gave a comprehensive demonstration on decaling techniques.
We had a very good meeting with a solid turnout. We wrapped up some last details for our upcoming show. Our club build was due, British WWll, and Bob Cliff was the winner with his Bren gun carrier. We were honored to have author Mike O’Connor show us his latest book about Richard Bong. He is going to be selling them at the show.
Next Club Build is anything “Vietnam” and is due at the August meeting.
Anyone who is helping with the show, we are able to start our setup at 6 AM. If you are asked for a parking fee, tell them you are there for the Model Show. And remember, we are at the Alliant Center.
